Conduent has confirmed a cybersecurity incident after multiple U.S. state agencies, including those in Wisconsin and Oklahoma, reported service outages. The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families noted that the disruption affected payments in at least four states and was linked to a “global network issue” at Conduent. The company stated the incident has been contained and systems restored, though details suggest a possible ransomware attack, with no group yet claiming responsibility.
Conduent, which provides business and government services across industries, was previously targeted by Maze ransomware in 2020. The company supports over 600 government agencies across 46 states and employs more than 56,000 people.
