Louis Vuitton has confirmed a cyber-attack on its UK operations, resulting in the theft of customer data including names, contact details, and purchase history. The company assured customers that no financial data, such as bank details, was compromised.
The attack, which occurred on July 2, follows a similar breach in its Korean division and is the third cybersecurity incident involving LVMH in three months, including one affecting Christian Dior Couture in May.
Louis Vuitton warned customers about potential phishing or fraud attempts and reported the breach to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office. This incident is part of a broader wave of cyber-attacks on UK retailers, including M&S, the Co-op, and Harrods, which led to recent arrests of four individuals linked to those attacks.
